Smt. Mousumi Mukherjee (Born 8th November 1958), in Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal, at Kachrapara Tuberculosis Hospital Doctors Quarters. Her parents ware Dr. Abani Kumar Banerjee and Smt. Sudharani Banerjee. She was graduated in economics in 1979, from Berhampore Girls College, Berhampore, Murshidabad.

Smt. Mukherjee, Dr Harinath Mukherjee on 11th February 1985. They were blessed with two children Dr. Debapriya Mukhopadhyay (b. 24th March 1986) and Dr. Shreyasi Mukherjee (b. 14th July 1992). Smt. Mukherjee, as a passionate homemaker, studious economist and writer supported the family, children to grow them well with best possible parenting.

Smt. Mukherjee is currently the president and honoring her office from 25th November 2024 at Debapriya Mukhopadhyay Vision Research Institute and Foundation.
